VEGAN SPÄTZLE!

German dumplings.

How to make vegan Spätzle / German dumplings/noodles: Spätzle is an egg noodle very common in the Tyrol region, Austria, Germany, and Alsace. My grandma used to make it for us and it was heaven on earth everytime she served it. Making it today had transported me right back home and for that, I've had to share this with you guys. I hope you like and have fun! Cheers!

Enough chitchat! Here is the recipe!

• FOR THE SPÄTZLE
• 1 cup of regular flour
• 1 TBSP ground flaxseed diluted in 1 1/2 TBSP water
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 1/2 cup water
• 1/3 tsp turmeric powder
• FOR THE BUTTER SAUCE:
• 1 TBSP butter
• Pinch of salt
• Any fresh herb of your preference
• Pinch of nutmeg
• Parsley or chives for garnishing
• 1 TBSP caramelized onions or dried onion flakes
• Pinch of salt
• Black pepper (to taste)
