Homemade Easy Ketchup.

Enough chitchat! Here is the recipe!

• 1200g of canned peeled tomatoes
• 1/3 cup of sugar (or more)
• ½ onion, chopped
• 2 cloves of garlic, minced
• 2 roasted red peppers, peeled and seeded
• 120ml of red wine vinegar
• 60ml balsamic vinegar
• a pinch of cinnamon powder
• Cayenne pepper to taste
• Salt to taste

Instructions

  • 1.
    Add the sugar to a pot and in low heat allow it melt until it achieves a light golden color.
  • 2.
    Add the onions, stir for 5 minutes, add the garlic, stir for 1 minute then incorporate the remainder of the ingredients.
  • 3.
    Let the ketchup cook until it reduces by half, then you blend it, adjust the salt and pepper and pass it through a sieve.
