PLANT BASED CAULIFLOWER WITH BARBECUE SAUCE!

Sugar and oil free.

This cauliflower is superb and what makes it so special is my delicious unique sauce: a homemade whole foods plant-based barbecue sauce, sugar-free and oil-free but crazy delicious!

Enough chitchat! Here is the recipe!

PLANT BASED CAULIFLOWER WITH BARBECUE SAUCE!

• 1 head of cauliflower
• 1 cup of low sodium oil-free tomato sauce
• 1/4 cup of soy sauce
• 1 tablespoon of tomato puree
• 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar
• 2 teaspoons of Worcestershire sauce
• 2 teaspoons of mustard
• 1 teaspoon of garlic powder or 2 cloves of garlic
• 1 teaspoon of onion powder or 1 small onion diced
• 1/3 teaspoon of ginger powder or 1 teaspoon of fresh ginger, minced
• 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika or 1/2 teaspoon of liquid smoke
• 1/9 teaspoon of cinnamon
• 1/8 teaspoon of clove powder
• Black pepper to taste
• 5 to 6 dates (no pits) or 2 to 3 tablespoons of brown sugar
• Water if necessary

Instructions

    Separate your cauliflower into small florets, put them in a casserole dish. Reserve.

    MAKE THE BARBECUE SAUCE:

    In a small pot, add the remainder of the ingredients, mix to combine, let it simmer for 2 to 5 minutes in low simmer, turn off the heat, add the sauce to a blender along with the dates, blend well.

    Distribute the BBQ sauce on top of the cauliflower and put it in a NON-PREHEATED OVEN at 400℉ for about 30 to 40 minutes. 5 minutes before the finished cooking time, turn on the broiler and let it broil for about 3 minutes.
