British best kept secret christmas gravy!

This bread sauce is one of the most amazing things I have ever tried, and it is also, very simple to make. Check out British best kept Christmas secret and be amazed, just like I did!

Enough chitchat! Here is the recipe!


• 500 ml of unsweetened plant based milk
• 1 large onion, halved
• 1 cup of breadcrumbs
• 1 bay leaf
• Ground nutmeg to taste
• 12 - 12 whole cloves
• 10 black peppercorns
• Salt to taste
• 1 tablespoon of nutritional yeast
• 2 tablespoons of vegan butter
• 1/4 cup of cashew cream


  • 1.
    Add the bread to the food process, process it until fine crumbs. Reserve.

    Stick the cloves in both onions, then add to a pot along with the milk, the bay leaf, the peppercorns and the nutritional yeast. Turn on the heat and bring it to almost a boil, then turn off the heat, cover the pot and leet it marinate for at least 2 hours, or overnight in your fridge.
  • 3.
    Before serving, add breadcrumbs, the cream and reheat the sauce. Remove the onions and squeeze them between two plates to retain most of the onions and cloves juices.

    Serve it hot.
